Empowering Women - To Nurture, Lead, and Excel
The Igbo Women Association Glasgow (IWA) is a socio-cultural and charitable organisation dedicated to promoting unity, preserving heritage, and supporting the wellbeing of Igbo women and their families in Glasgow and its surrounding communities. Rooted in the values of sisterhood and collective responsibility,
IWA provides a platform where women of Igbo origin, and those married to an Igbo person - can connect, celebrate their culture, and support one another in practical and meaningful ways. Our official motto, “Obi buru otu: Chukwu bu ike Anyi” - United in heart: God is our strength - reflects our belief that strength lies in unity, faith, and shared purpose.
